Description
The air compressor pressure switch is used to shut off your compressor when your air tank reaches the desired air pressure, and restart it when the pressure falls below the minimum level setting of the switch. Normally it would be set at a 2 bar differential, and in most models it is adjustable,
As an example if the compressor maximum pressure is 8 bar the maximum setting will be 8 bar and the minimum 6 bar.
So as long as the compressor is sized correctly, the pressure switch will maintain a minimum of 6 bar in the receiver
