Description
These lightweight aluminium platform steps are suitable for commercial and light trade work. They are rated with a maximum safe working load of 150kg.
The EPS platform step features additional safety straps which are engaged whenever the step is opened. The step platform locks into place by simply pressing down on the platform surface when the step is opened.
These lightweight steps offer a good degree of comfort and safety due to the ribbed surface and broad 80mm depth of the platform treads.
Please note that the relative sizes of platform steps are often specified by their tread count – platform steps traditionally count the main platform as a tread. The very top section of a platform step, (above the main platform), is excluded from the tread count. For example a six tread platform step consists of five treads plus the main platform, (as per the image showing the EPS6 Platform Step).
This product has been manufactured in compliance with the previous EN131-1:2007+A1:2011, EN131-2:2010 and EN131-3:2007 specifications and provides a maximum load of 150kg. Please note these specifications have now been withdrawn and superceded by EN131-1:2015, EN131-2:2010+A2:2017 and EN131-3:2018 specifications. During the transition period between the old and new standards ladders manufactured to the previous specification are still available while stocks last.
